Wisdom teeth, extra teeth, or very crowded teeth present situations that may require extractions.
COMMON EXTRACTIONS
If a tooth must be extracted, we’ll make the process as comfortable as possible by administering an anesthetic. Each of our dentists will do everything possible to make the experience as painless as possible and provide instructions for quick healing and to prevent future complications.
SURGICAL EXTRACTIONS
Surgical extractions are sometimes necessary for teeth that must be removed, but cannot easily be accessed by the dentist. This includes situations where there is a broken or cracked tooth, or when a tooth is partially below the gum line (impacted). Like common extractions, you’ll be given a local anesthetic to make you comfortable during the procedure.
TOOTH EXTRACTION COST
Determining the cost of a tooth extraction depends on a variety of factors, which can only be determined by a having a dental exam. Some factors include the type of tooth (e.g. molar, incisor, wisdom tooth), and if the tooth is broken, fractured or impacted. The location of the tooth, gum health and previous procedures performed on that tooth can also affect the cost.
After a dental exam, we will present patients with a treatment plan, sometimes with multiple treatment options. We make sure you are aware of the cost of each of the treatment options before we ever perform a treatment.
